Sega has set the first crossover drop for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, with the Minecraft Pack launching on October 8. The kart racer’s seasonal plan kicks off here, bringing iconic Minecraft content straight onto the starting grid.
Alongside the paid add-on, a limited-time Minecraft Festival will open its gates inside the game, letting everyone sample themed challenges and rewards with no purchase required. It’s a straightforward way to try the vibe before deciding if you want the full pack.
Release date and rollout
The Minecraft Pack goes live on October 8 across supported platforms, marking the first major collaboration in the game’s post-launch calendar. Expect a typical worldwide rollout, with availability appearing as stores update region by region.
If you already own the Season Pass or the Digital Deluxe Edition, you’re covered—the Minecraft Pack is included there. Otherwise, it can be picked up separately as a standard DLC purchase.

What’s inside the Minecraft Pack
The crossover adds Steve, Alex, and Creeper as playable racers, a blocky Minecart vehicle, and a brand-new circuit inspired by Minecraft’s unmistakable look, similar to other Minecraft crossover DLC. Expect familiar sights reimagined for high-speed laps and tight cornering.
Beyond the core racers and track, the in-game festival ties in with event rewards such as car cosmetics and profile titles you can earn by participating. It’s a neat way to dress up your ride, even if you’re just diving in for the weekend.

Minecraft Festival dates and access
The Minecraft Festival is a 48-hour in-game event. It runs from October 9 at 5:00 p.m. PT / 8:00 p.m. ET until October 11 at 4:59 p.m. PT / 7:59 p.m. ET. For Europe, that’s roughly October 10 at 02:00 CEST through October 12 at 01:59 CEST, making it a weekend-friendly window in most regions.
All players can jump in, even without buying the DLC. The festival is designed as an open door: race, rack up points, and grab thematic goodies while the event is live.
Price and editions
The Minecraft Pack is priced at €5.99 as a standalone purchase. It’s also part of the €29.99 Season Pass, and included with the Digital Deluxe Edition. Regional pricing will vary, but the structure remains the same across storefronts.
Platforms and what’s next
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. A version for the upcoming Switch 2 is planned and will arrive later.
The Season Pass roadmap spans multiple brands beyond Minecraft, with SpongeBob SquarePants, Pac-Man, Mega Man, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Avatar Legends all slated to join the lineup over time. Sega will reveal more guests as the calendar rolls forward.
With the Minecraft Pack arriving on October 8 and a free-to-enter festival running that same weekend, CrossWorlds sets its crossover strategy in motion: accessible events, clear pricing, broad platform support, and a steady stream of recognizable franchises to keep the grid feeling fresh.
